If you’re an experienced print buyer then you know the work it takes to identify your production problems, define specifications, and solve production issues. Someone must do this work to deliver your projects. If you possess the expertise, time, and resources needed to define specs, select manufacturers, and manage your projects day-to-day, then you should do so. In your case a print broker probably would not add value to your projects.

On the other hand, if you are short the resources needed to devote to the buying process, then enlisting the services of a print broker would be a good call to save you money, prevent waste, and insure timely delivery of projects.

The in-house rep is committed to sell solely what their employer manufactures. The broker is independent and not directly employed by the graphic arts companies that they rep. Brokers work as free agents and have the flexibility to rep several companies for you. Moreover, the broker has an incentive to deliver the services of a wide range of companies. Therefore, if you are a print buyer swamped with a variety of projects and overwhelmed with demands to produce, then the right print broker would be a valuable addition to your production team.

Discount quality printing is a fabulous reality across Australia with a multitude of printing companies at your fingertips but WHO do you choose?

Ask yourself these questions:

Is my printer responsive to my needs? Are my e-mails and calls returned promptly?

Does my printer often make suggestions that will improve the quality of my work or reduce the cost?

Can I count on my printer to meet scheduled deliveries?

Can I communicate directly and easily with my printer’s in-house staff?

Do they make it easy for me to transfer my files, review proofs on line and track my job’s progress?

Does my printer offer more than just ink on paper?

We specialise in easy, hassle free printing. Yes, we compete with printing companies around Australia but our point of difference is personal service and commitment to your business printing. It is our goal to provide unparalleled service, the lastest print technology and the highest possible standards in affordable print.

ISO 216 specifies international standard (ISO) paper sizes used in Australia. It is the standard which defines the commonly available A4 paper size. The underlying principle is that when folded in half length-wise the paper retains its original aspect ratio.

The base format A0 (841mm x 1189mm) has an area of one square metre.

A1 is A0 cut into two equal halves, where the A1 sheet long dimension is the same as the short dimension of A0, and the A1 short dimension is half the A0 long dimension. Thus A0 measures 841mm x 1189mm and A1 measures 594mm x 841mm, where 594mm is half the length of 1189mm and rounded down to the nearest millimetre.

All smaller A series formats are defined in the same way by cutting the next larger format parallel to its shorter side into two equal halves, so A2 measures 420mm x 594, where 420mm is half of 841mm, rounded down.

The four inks are placed on the paper in layers of dots that combine to create the illusion of many more colors. CMYK refers to the 4 ink colors used by the printing press — the the subtractive primaries plus black.

C is cyan (a blue-green color), M is magenta (a reddish pink color), Y is yellow, and K is a pure black ink, the key plate or keyline color.

A mistake often made when submitting artwork for 4-color printing is not converting the images to the CMYK color space. This is needed so that the file can be separated into the four colors (see example) so that a separate printing plate can be made for each of the colors.

Also Known As: 4-color | process colors
Alternate Spellings: CYMK

Digital printing is the best way to print products that require quantities of 2500 or less. Quantities that are higher should be run on an offset press to keep the price point lower.

Digital printing is also perfect for dealing with print products that require variable data such as mailings that require each post card to have different addresses.
